Another Broken Egg Cafe Signs Multi-Unit Agreement to Bring Three Locations to Northern Virginia
Local Restaurant Group to Introduce Leading Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch Concept to Loudoun County and Beyond
June 27, 2024, ASHBURN, Va. – Another Broken Egg Cafe, the award-winning, elevated ‘NextGen Casual’ daytime-only restaurant, announced today that local business services and restaurant group, D2 Ventures, has signed an agreement to bring three locations to Loudoun County and multiple surrounding counties in Northern Virginia. The group is comprised of husband-and-wife duo, Dennis and Nicole Drake, who are experienced restaurant operators in the quick-service sector through their ownership of multiple Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations.
“We are thrilled to be the first to introduce Another Broken Egg Cafe to Northern Virginia. After seeing its popularity across the south and other parts of the state, we knew that the concept would be well-received here, especially since we are centrally located to multiple counties in Virginia,” said Dennis. “What really drove us to want to partner with Another Broken Egg Cafe was the rising demand for a more upscale yet approachable breakfast, brunch and lunch concept in the area. The brand meets this demand while still maintaining the rich Southern-inspired flavors it’s known for. Additionally, Another Broken Egg Cafe’s one-shift operations allow us to balance the management of our other concept, which operates with multiple dayparts.”
Before becoming restaurant operators, Nicole spent much of her career as an aerospace engineer, while Dennis, a U.S. Naval Veteran, held senior management and executive positions. Both worked as contractors and consultants, supporting various intelligence, federal, and Department of Defense agencies and organizations.
“Dennis and Nicole are exactly the type of entrepreneurs that we look for in our franchise partners. Not only do they have experience as multi-unit operators of another dining concept, but their overall business background and connection to their community is notable and will serve them well as they open and operate their cafes,” said Jeff Sturgis, Chief Development Officer for Another Broken Egg Cafe. “We are thrilled to expand our presence in Virginia and look forward to wowing local residents with our award-winning, southern-inspired flavors and hand-crafted cocktails.”
With more than 100 locations open and nearly 100 more in development, Another Broken Egg Cafe, the largest, actively franchising brand in the brunch category, is set to continue its strategic growth through 2024 and beyond. The brand is still looking to award franchise investment opportunities with qualified franchise partners throughout the United States.
Open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch and lunch, Another Broken Egg Cafe showcases chef-inspired dishes that celebrate the indulgence of the breakfast and brunch experience through the finest, high-quality ingredients and hand-crafted cocktails. In addition to its signature Southern-inspired cuisine, the brand boasts a diverse menu that includes gluten-friendly, vegetarian and other offerings to meet dietary needs.
