Aroma Joe’s to Open New Sabattus, Maine Location

Handcrafted beverage shop brings specialty coffee, signature AJ’s RUSH® energy drinks, and community-focused service to its home state of Maine

The newly built, 750-square-foot drive-thru will feature handcrafted coffee and espresso drinks, unique flavor infusions, signature AJ’s RUSH® Energy Drinks, and all-day food options. This location reinforces Aroma Joe’s commitment to serving local communities with positivity, passion, and exceptional coffee. This is the second Aroma Joe’s to be constructed in the new store prototype style in Maine.

The first of the new style of Aroma Joe’s opened on Haskell Road in Bangor in 2025 and will continue to roll out at various new-build locations. It reflects a more modern and universally appealing aesthetic. While the lines of the building are simple, the design also incorporates more color and large, bold graphics to highlight the brand effectively. This style of building is more cost-effective since it simplifies the footprint and is easier and faster to construct.

The Sabattus Aroma Joe’s is owned and operated by franchisee Cody Currier, who also owns and operates the Lisbon St. location in Lewiston, which has been open five years, and Currier says he is still in the shop almost every day. Currier is a Navy veteran who moved back to Maine in 2012 before opening his first Aroma Joe’s with his wife Catie, a Lewiston native. The Sabattus store will employ about 15 local residents, including Currier’s stepsister, who will manage the location.
