Big Blue Swim School Hosts Grand Reopening Celebration to Debut Refreshed Location in Buffalo Grove, Illinois

The changes are intended to improve the experience for local families, creating a more welcoming environment for children as they progress through their swim journey and for parents as they access the facility.

The facility has undergone updates designed for local families. The updates include new showers and tile walls on both pool decks, refreshed branding, upgraded changing room partitions, lobby carpeting, improved lighting in the lobby and changing room areas, and updated reception desk stations. The goal is to maintain a welcoming environment where children can build confidence and make progress in the water, with families continuing to attend weekly sessions.

To mark the grand reopening, Big Blue Buffalo Grove will host a Grand Reopening Celebration on Saturday, August 15, from 12 to 4 p.m. Free for enrolled families, prospective members and the local community, the event will feature a DJ, face painting, balloon artists, snacks and beverages, along with tours of the renovated facility and opportunities to meet the local team and learn more about Big Blue’s specialized, progress-driven curriculum. As families prepare for the back-to-school season and establish new routines, the grand reopening provides an ideal opportunity to begin or continue swim lessons. At Big Blue, lessons are offered across four progressive levels—Baby Blue, Bright Blue, Bold Blue and Big Blue—each designed with a specific class ratio to best support swimmers based on age and skill level. Lessons are 30 minutes in length for all levels except Big Blue, which is a 45-minute class to accommodate more advanced swimmers. Private lessons are available upon request, though standard class ratios are intentionally structured to balance socialization with individualized instructor attention.
