British Swim School Expands to Orem–Provo, Bringing Lifesaving Water Safety Instruction to Utah Valley
August 21, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // OREM, Utah – British Swim School is proud to announce the launch of its newest location in Orem–Provo, operating out of EoS Fitness at 52 E University Parkway in Orem.
The franchise is owned and operated by Heidi and Arthur Allen, a local husband-and-wife duo deeply committed to serving families throughout Utah Valley. The school officially opened in early May, with expanded hours and additional pool partnerships planned for the coming months.
“British Swim School’s lifesaving mission aligns perfectly with what matters most to our family,” said Heidi Allen, Co-Owner of British Swim School of Orem-Provo. “We’ve seen firsthand how water survival skills and proper swim instruction can change lives. Our goal is to help every swimmer, regardless of age or ability, become safer, more confident, and more prepared in and around the water.”
Heidi’s passion for child development and advocacy stems from her years working in the public school system, where she supported children and families daily. Arthur brings more than 25 years of service to the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, where he continues to work as a Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner. Together, they are building a purpose-driven family business rooted in service, water safety, and community impact.
A Lifesaving Mission
Their connection to swimming runs deep. Heidi’s father was an accomplished competitive swimmer who nearly qualified for the Olympics, while her mother’s fear of water inspired a family commitment to early swim education. Heidi and her siblings began learning water survival skills as early as 10 months old. A tradition continued with their own son, who joined a swim team at age six. That personal history made British Swim School’s mission especially meaningful to her.
A defining moment for Heidi came during her corporate aquatics training in Philadelphia, where families shared deeply personal stories of loved ones lost to drowning. One four-year-old girl shared with her, “I have to swim. Every time I swim, I swim for my brother,” speaking of the sibling she never met. “Their honesty went straight to my heart,” said Heidi. “It confirmed that this was the work I wanted to do.”
British Swim School of Orem–Provo offers year-round, survival first swim lessons for every age and every stage – infants, toddlers, children, and adults. Lessons emphasize gentle teaching methods, small lesson sizes, and progression based on ability, not age. The curriculum first builds essential water survival skills, then advances swimmers into proper strokes, technique, endurance, and long-term confidence.
“Our mission is to ensure that every person has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer,” said Arthur Allen, Co-Owner of British Swim School of Orem-Provo. “Water safety is a shared responsibility, and we’re honored to help strengthen our community one swimmer at a time.”
The Allens are engaging in community outreach across Utah Valley through partnerships with local schools, daycares, businesses, and community organizations, reinforcing their commitment to water safety education.
Registration is officially open, and families are encouraged to enroll early as lesson availability is limited. Updated fall schedules and extended operating hours will be released soon.
