Curry Up Now Signs Multi-Unit Deal for Alabama
August 15, 2024, SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Curry Up Now has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Jignesh Patel for Alabama. Patel is a current Raceway franchisee who was attracted to Curry Up Now because of their Indo-Californian fusion cuisine. This agreement marks a significant stride in Curry Up Now’s strategic Southeast expansion, and comes just after another franchise location opening in Durham, North Carolina.
Patel started in the hospitality industry before transitioning to becoming a Raceway franchisee a few years ago. Motivated by growing his career through franchising, he sought a multi-unit deal with Curry Up Now to further his financial goals in Alabama’s hot market.
Patel shared his enthusiasm, stating that “Curry Up Now is pioneering in the Indian casual space. There aren’t really any well branded and easy to operate Indian casual concepts out there, and it’s exciting to bring something like Curry Up Now to Birmingham. I visited some of the Georgia locations and attended the Durham, NC grand opening. The food is amazing and there are so many innovative options on the menu. The process is streamlined to the point where even a cashier can prepare the food, which speaks to how efficiently the system operates. We’re starting with three locations and have big plans to expand further into Jefferson and Shelby Counties.”
Speaking about Curry Up Now’s Founder Akash Kapoor, Patel said, “Akash is a brilliant, hands-on Founder. I’ve received amazing support from him and the Curry Up Now team and am very excited moving forward in this journey.”
