Dae Gee Korean BBQ Inks Deal for Single Unit in San Antonio
June 20, 2024, DENVER, CO – Dae Gee Korean BBQ is bringing its dynamic food and interactive dining experience to San Antonio, Texas.
A franchise agreement for the development of a single restaurant has been signed with local husband-and-wife and first-time restaurateurs Tommy Nguyen and Anahi Resendez, who will be joined by Anahi’s parents in owning and operating the full-service eatery.
“When Anahi and I decided to move from Denver to San Antonio, we figured why not bring a part of Denver with us. We always wanted to run our own restaurant and we’ve been regular Dae Gee customers for years. In fact, it’s where we had our very first date,” said Nguyen. “We’re eager to bring a different flavor, variety and overall dining experience to San Antonio, and give our customers a chance to fill up, indulge in eccentric flavors, and experience diverse dishes.”
Dae Gee exposes customers to an interactive experience that allows them to cook their own meals right at their table on built-in grills. Customers can choose from a variety of traditional Korean meats like Galbee (Beef Short Ribs), Sam Gyeob Sal (Sliced Pork Belly) and Dak Bulgogi (Chicken), which are marinated in Dae Gee’s secret marinade. Fish and vegetarian options are also available, along with a variety of ways to enjoy the protein – in a bowl, hot stone pot, or tucked inside lettuce and eaten as a wrap.
And no Korean BBQ experience is complete without an abundance of sides. Dae Gee piles on the flavor with a choice of rice, fresh slaw, spicy sauce, and nine delectable side dishes like kimchi, broccoli, radish, and fish cakes.
“Dae Gee lights up your senses and enriches the full human experience, and leaves its customers well fed with culture, humor, and top-quality home recipe style Korean food,” said Resendez.
The new restaurant will be the first of many locations Dae Gee expects to open in the San Antonio area.
