Franchise Media Group Marks a Week of Remembrance With a Call for Civility and Community
Franchise Media Group Honors a Week of Remembrance, Faith, and American Resolve
PORT ORANGE, FL // FranchisePR.com // — September 10, 2026 — This week carries two solemn anniversaries that call on every American to pause and give thanks for the nation we’ve been blessed to inherit. September 10 marks one year since Charlie Kirk was killed while speaking to students at Utah Valley University. September 11 marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks that took nearly 3,000 lives and changed our nation forever. Franchise Media Group (FMG), the franchise-focused media company behind FranchisePressReleases.com, is calling on the franchise brands, franchisees, and entrepreneurs it serves to pause, give thanks, and recommit to the values that have made America the most exceptional nation on Earth.
“There is no country on this earth like the United States of America,” said Mark Milburn, Founder and CEO of Franchise Media Group. “We were built on the belief that our rights come from God, not government — and that belief has carried us through our darkest hours. We may not always agree on politics, faith, or opinion, but we are bound together as Americans, and we owe a debt to those who gave everything so the rest of us could build, dream, and worship freely.”
FMG’s work centers on telling the stories of people who build: franchise owners opening their first location, entrepreneurs backing their own ideas, first responders serving their communities, veterans starting second careers, and small business owners creating jobs and investing in the places they call home. That mission, the company says, is inseparable from the American story itself — every new business is an act of faith in this country and a vote of confidence that tomorrow can be better than today. It is the same spirit of resolve and self-determination that has defined America since her founding, and it is worth defending, honoring, and passing on to the next generation.
In recognition of these anniversaries, FMG is asking the franchise community to consider a few simple actions this week:
- Remember and pray for the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the memory of Charlie Kirk and all whose lives have been cut short defending the freedoms we hold dear.
- Thank a first responder or veteran. Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and military personnel continue to put themselves in harm’s way so the rest of us can live free.
- Support a local, American-owned business. Franchise and independent businesses alike employ our neighbors, sponsor youth teams, and strengthen the communities that make this country great.
- Give back, if able, to an organization supporting the families of fallen first responders and service members, such as the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
“Most of the stories we tell are about people building something — a business, a career, a family, a future,” Milburn added. “That’s the American dream, plain and simple, and it is still alive in every town across this country. We can disagree without hating one another. We can debate without destroying one another. God has blessed this nation, and it’s on every one of us to honor that blessing by building something good, standing for what’s right, and never taking our freedom for granted.”
Franchise Media Group extends its deepest condolences and prayers to the families of those lost on September 11, 2001, to the family and loved ones of Charlie Kirk, and to every American family that has borne the cost of defending this nation’s freedom.
God bless the fallen. God bless our first responders and service members. And God bless the United States of America.
