FullSpeed Automotive Shifts Franchise Growth into High Gear During First Half of 2026
July 14, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // GREENWOOD Village, Colo. — FullSpeed Automotive® reported activity during the first half of 2026, signing 12 new franchise agreements, opening 11 locations, advancing 12 stores into construction, and moving five additional locations into active real estate negotiations. Together, those milestones total 40 locations at various stages.
“The level of development activity we’ve seen during the first half of the year reflects the quality of the conversations we’re having with franchise candidates across the country,” said Tope. “More entrepreneurs are prioritizing opportunities that have proven long-term resilience and attractive markets still available. Those factors make automotive service an attractive category for investment.
Grease Monkey opened nine locations during the first half of the year, including four locations in Billings, Montana. Additional openings included Laurel, Montana; Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Rexburg, Idaho; Valrico, Florida; and Woodlawn, Maryland. SpeeDee expanded its footprint with a new location in Moorhead, Minnesota.
The network comprises more than 900 franchised and company-owned locations. The company has locations across multiple markets. Population growth, vehicle ownership rates and sustained demand for automotive maintenance services are factors in market activity.
In addition, the company expanded its agreements, leases and letters of intent across both brands in the first half of the year.
“Automotive maintenance will remain a fundamental consumer need for years to come,” said Tope. “The average American is keeping their vehicles longer because the cost of buying a new car is reaching an all-time high. At the same time, franchisees are looking for business models built around steady, recurring revenue streams, and that’s exactly what brands like Grease Monkey and SpeeDee can provide.
Looking ahead, FullSpeed Automotive expects to open additional locations during the second half of 2026 as projects move toward completion.
