Laundry Luv’s First Location More Than Doubles in Size, Becoming the Largest Laundromat in Texas

• Laundry Luv Laundromats is expanding its first location from 6240 sq. ft. to 14,405 sq. ft. and 202 machines, creating the largest laundromat in Texas.
• The laundromat industry is attracting increased interest, and Laundry Luv is building momentum through expansion and franchising.

October 09, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // ABILENE, Texas –The Laundry Luv expansion in Abilene, Texas is a tangible example of the opportunity the franchise company sees in the laundromat industry and its strategy of building luxurious, family-centered locations in strategic markets.

Laundry Luv opened its first location in Abilene in 2019. Since then, the company has expanded its corporate growth footprint and franchising opportunity. The expansion is expected to open in late fall 2026, followed by a Re-Grand Opening Celebration featuring giveaways, family activities, special offers and more. The additional space and machines will give customers more capacity, greater convenience and an improved laundry experience.

Building a Franchise Opportunity on Proven, Veteran-Built Systems
As a veteran-owned company, Laundry Luv has built its franchise model around principles deeply rooted in military leadership: disciplined systems, clear processes, strong training, and consistent execution.

That systems-driven approach gives franchise owners a structured framework for opening, operating, and growing their laundromats. From site selection and training to operations, technology, marketing, and ongoing field support, the model is designed to provide owners with clear processes at every stage of the business.

Franchisees can also build revenue across multiple service channels, including self-service laundry, wash-and-fold, pickup and delivery, commercial accounts, vending, and retail supplies.

Everything is Bigger in Texas, Even The Mission
Laundry Luv is building more than laundromats. The company’s mission is to elevate the laundry experience by creating luxurious, family-centered spaces where customers feel comfortable, cared for and welcomed. From thoughtfully designed amenities and high-performance equipment to family-friendly spaces and community-focused initiatives, Laundry Luv is redefining what customers can expect from a laundromat.

That same vision is at the heart of the Laundry Luv franchise opportunity. The company combines a premium customer experience with a low-staff operating model, multiple revenue streams and systems designed for scalability.

Laundry Luv’s corporate locations have demonstrated the opportunity behind the model, with operating margins ranging from 14% to 30% (Source: Laundry Luv’s Item 19 in Current FDD)*.

As the company continues to expand its corporate footprint and franchise network, Laundry Luv is inviting entrepreneurs to join its mission to build a business, serve a community and help redefine the laundromat experience.

“We don’t want Laundry Luv to be just another laundromat. We want to build locations that people trust and look forward to visiting,” said Co-Founder & CVO, Ken Wimberly. “In the same way Buc-ee’s has transformed the way people think about a roadside stop, we want to transform the way people think about doing laundry. It’s about the people and the communities we serve.

At the heart of it all, we strive to make every customer feel seen, valued and loved.”
