MilkShake Factory to Open Second San Antonio Location at The Landmark on November 7
October 28, 2026 // FranchisePressReleases.com // San Antonio, TX – MilkShake Factory will open its newest San Antonio location on Saturday, November 7. Located at 5518 N Loop 1604 W, the new shop will join The Landmark, an emerging dining and entertainment destination at the intersection of I-10 and Loop 1604, bringing MilkShake Factory’s signature desserts to the growing San Antonio North area.
To celebrate, MilkShake Factory San Antonio North will host a grand opening event on Saturday, November 7 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a buy one, get one free offer on shakes, sundaes and molten cups, free MilkShake Factory T-shirts for the first 100 guests, a gift basket for the first guest in line, and giveaways throughout the afternoon. Adding to the festivities, guests can also enjoy a special display of classic cars parked outside the shop, offering a fun photo opportunity for families and car enthusiasts alike.
The San Antonio North location is owned and operated by franchisee Patrick Lugo, whose journey with MilkShake Factory began with a five-hour road trip to try the brand’s famous milkshakes. What started as a chance to experience something new quickly turned into a genuine love for the brand, its handcrafted treats, and the family tradition behind it.
As Patrick learned more about MilkShake Factory, he was especially drawn to its roots as a family-owned business. During Discovery Day, he had the opportunity to meet members of the Edwards family and see firsthand how generations had worked together to build something special. As a parent himself, Patrick loved the idea of creating something his own children could grow up being part of.
“I fell in love with the milkshakes first, but it was the people and the story behind MilkShake Factory that really won me over,” said Patrick Lugo, franchisee of MilkShake Factory San Antonio North. “There’s something really special about a business that has brought a family together for generations. I hope to create those same kinds of memories with my own family, while bringing a little extra joy to the families in our community.”
For his first MilkShake Factory location, Lugo chose The Landmark, a growing dining and entertainment destination near The Shops at La Cantera, The Rim, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. With its mix of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, the area offered an opportunity to become part of a neighborhood where families and friends already come together.
“There’s so much happening in this part of San Antonio, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to open my first MilkShake Factory,” said Patrick Lugo. “I love the idea of becoming a place where families can stop in for a treat after a day of shopping, celebrate a special occasion, or simply spend time together. I’m excited to become part of those everyday moments and create something the community can enjoy for years to come.”
MilkShake Factory’s menu features an assortment of indulgent milkshake flavors, including fan favorites like Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and Campfire S’mores, alongside handcrafted sundaes, molten chocolate cups, and housemade chocolate treats. Every item is made with MilkShake Factory’s signature ice cream, created fresh in-store daily using the Edwards family’s exclusive recipe.
MilkShake Factory is more than just a dessert shop; it is a brand built on over a century of family tradition and chocolate-making expertise. Founded in 1914, the company began as a small soda fountain and chocolate shop in Pittsburgh, PA, where generations of chocolatiers crafted premium confections using time-honored techniques and the finest ingredients. What started as a local sweet shop has grown into a beloved dessert destination, seamlessly blending classic craftsmanship with modern indulgences.
Today, MilkShake Factory stays true to its roots in chocolate and its heritage as a family-founded brand, while bringing joy to new communities across the country through its growing franchise program.
