Local Franchise Group to Open Newest DQ Restaurant in Calcasieu Parish

April 06, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // SULPHUR, La. – Sulphur just got a whole lot tastier with a new DQ® restaurant coming to town.

American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ), an iconic leader in treats and food, announced a new DQ restaurant opening on Monday, April 6. Located at 301 Navarre Street in the former KFC building, the new restaurant is operated by a Louisiana-based franchise group that owns several DQ locations across the state.

The Sulphur restaurant will serve a full menu of hot food and signature treats, including Stackburgers™, Chicken Strip Baskets, and the world-famous Blizzard® Treat, along with sundaes, cones, and shakes. Designed with modern seating, community tables, a mobile order pick-up area, and drive-thru lanes, the restaurant is built to welcome families and neighbors alike.

Community involvement will be central to the new restaurant’s mission. The team plans to partner with local schools, engage with the college communities in Sulphur, and participate in events that celebrate and support local residents, in addition to Dairy Queen’s national partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The restaurant will be open, starting on April 6 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Saturday. Guests can also download the DQ App for exclusive weekly deals, rewards for purchases and special offers.
