New York Butcher Shoppe to Open Eight New Stores Across Alabama and Missouri
June 25, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // GREENVILLE, S.C. — New York Butcher Shoppe the neighborhood butcher and specialty market known for its Certified Angus Beef® steaks, fine wines, and chef-crafted meals, is continuing its growth across the South and Midwest with plans to open eight new stores in Alabama and Missouri.
The expansion includes a three-store development agreement with Braxton and Ashley Jett to bring New York Butcher Shoppe to Huntsville, Madison, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a five-store development agreement with Doug Tieber to grow the brand across the St. Louis market.
Already operating stores in Birmingham and Kansas City, the brand is expanding in markets where it sees strong long-term demand and operators who align with the brand’s approach to quality, service, and community connection.
“We’ve grown this brand in a fairly organic way over the years,” said Jim Tindal, CEO of New York Butcher Shoppe. “A lot of our franchisees started as customers. That only happens if people believe in the product and believe in the experience. As we grow, we’re focused on finding operators who want to be part of their communities and build relationships, not just open stores.”
The Alabama expansion grows the brand’s existing Birmingham footprint and introduces New York Butcher Shoppe to three additional communities across the state. In Missouri, the St. Louis agreement expands the brand’s Midwest presence and reflects continued interest from experienced operators looking for concepts that combine retail convenience with strong local ownership.
“These are exactly the kinds of deals we get excited about,” said Joseph Giordano, VP of Corporate & Franchise Development at New York Butcher Shoppe. “Braxton and Ashley are building in markets they know well, and Doug brings experience and a clear growth plan. We’re not trying to be everywhere overnight. We want the right people opening stores in the right communities.”
