Pancheros Franchisee to Open Sixth Missouri Location in Springfield

January 27, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // Springfield, MO — Under the leadership of franchisee Dick Davis, Pancheros Mexican Grill will officially open its sixth location in Missouri on Tuesday, February 3 in Springfield, MO.

Following a successful career in the QSR industry, Davis returned to the restaurant industry in 2023 after a decade-long retirement to start anew with Pancheros. Impressed by the brand’s business model, operations and most importantly, the product, Davis and the Davis Fresh-Mex team assumed ownership of the four existing Pancheros locations in Columbia and Jefferson City in 2023 and opened a fifth location in Rolla, MO, in early 2025.

“The past three years spent expanding the Pancheros footprint have kept our plates full, from dedicating time to existing locations to, more recently, opening new ones. We’ve seen the incredible potential for growth in Missouri, which is why we’re thrilled to continue introducing this brand to communities across the state,” said Davis. “We’re especially excited to bring Pancheros to Springfield specifically, as this city holds a special place in the hearts of the Davis Fresh-Mex team. As Missouri natives and Missouri State University graduates, Davis and his son and Davis Fresh-Mex co-owner, Joe, are deeply excited to reinvest in the Springfield community. With extensive industry experience operating brands like Taco Bell, Davis Fresh-Mex is no stranger to delivering high-quality service and products. In 2024, Davis and his team were awarded the brand’s coveted “Franchisee of the Year” award, and in the last year alone, Davis Fresh-Mex has seen double-digit growth across its same-store sales.

The Springfield Pancheros will be open from 10:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. daily. This location will feature Pancheros’ signature burritos made with fresh-pressed tortillas, marinated and grilled proteins and house-made salsas—mixed with a proprietary spatula so every bite is the perfect bite. The restaurant will also include a mobile pick-up drive-thru, designated parking for digital orders and a second make-line to streamline online ordering.
