PJ’s Coffee Brews Crescent City Flavor at Capitol Heights Grand Opening
PJ’s Coffee will welcome its newest Maryland shop on May 15.
May 15, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. – A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce, the mayor, local leaders and community partners will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15. On Saturday, May 16, attendees can participate in activities related to the opening.
Clement Troutman and his family operate their first PJ’s Coffee shop at this location. They connected with the brand during the pandemic and support youth education programs, school supply drives, public safety outreach efforts and local wellness initiatives in partnership with area organizations and municipal leaders.
“We’re thrilled to bring a welcoming neighborhood coffee spot to Capitol Heights and continue contributing to a place that has supported our family and businesses for years,” Clement Troutman said. “Giving back is part of who we are, and we look forward to creating job opportunities and building strong partnerships with local schools, nonprofits and city officials as we serve a great cup of coffee and famous French Quarter beignets.”
The café sits in the Ritchie Station shopping center near Exit 13 off Interstate 495, close to Dave Buster’s, and offers a convenient drive-thru for commuters, students and nearby residents. Guests can enjoy PJ’s signature powdered-sugar-dusted beignets, seasonal Mardi Gras favorites such as the Frozen King Cake, Purple Energy and Carnival Latte, and staples including the Vienna Cold Creme and hot Café Au Lait.
PJ’s Coffee Capitol Heights will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
