Potbelly Sandwich Shop Opens Latest Location at Akron Children’s Hospital

Joining several other locations in the region, the new Potbelly shop opened Monday, December 22, and will be available to hospital patients, guests and staff. Michael Folino, Director of Support Services at Akron Children’s Hospital, will operate the new shop, which will provide the brand’s signature toasty sandwiches, fresh salads, oven-baked cookies and hand-dipped shakes, serving up a warm, welcoming experience.

Potbelly is preparing a celebration on January 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the hospital, where it will feature daytime and evening promotions to engage patients, families and staff. Supported by brand ambassadors as well as the Potbelly shake mascot and hospital mascot, the celebration will feature lots of energy, free cookie and shake samples. Potbelly will also host interactive experiences like the Spin Wheel and Perks Plinko. The location’s hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.
