Primrose Schools® Continues to Deliver Purpose-Driven Innovation to Help Lead Transformation in the Early Education and Care Industry
ATLANTA, May 7, 2025 – Primrose Schools®, in collaboration with AdventHealth for Children, Lift Orlando, Purpose Built Communities®, West Lakes Partnership and the Bainum Family Foundation, celebrates the continued success and five-year anniversary milestone of the innovative West Lakes Early Learning Center (ELC).
The success of the AdventHealth for Children West Lakes ELC illustrates how strategically integrated approaches of child care, early education, healthcare, family engagement and community services positively impact the learning, health and social outcomes for underserved children and families,” said Jo Kirchner, CEO of Primrose Schools. “As a trusted community pillar, the West Lakes ELC empowered us to navigate the complexities of cross-sector collaboration, facilitate knowledge transfer and drive innovation. We’re honored and proud to pioneer this unique place-based model at the intersection of early education and health that will lay the foundation for dynamic future partnerships that more effectively and holistically strengthen communities.”
A Brighter Future for All Children
For more than 40 years, Primrose Schools has been a purpose-driven franchise company, unwavering in its passion to make a difference for young children and families in communities across America. The West Lakes ELC embodies the Primrose mission to forge a path that leads to a brighter future for all children, with Primrose Schools contributing pro-bono its Balanced Learning® curriculum, strategic leadership, operating model and ongoing support, totaling approximately $750,000 in in-kind donations. Since its opening, the West Lakes ELC has served approximately 300 children, over 90 percent of whom would not be able to attend the center without subsidized tuition, and provided nearly 1,300 pediatric patient visits and facilitated 14,880 pediatric therapy visits with AdventHealth for Children medical professionals.
Future Expansion through the Primrose Schools Children’s Foundation
The Primrose Schools Children’s Foundation®, the charitable arm of Primrose Schools, has contributed nearly $400,000 toward ongoing support since the West Lakes ELC’s opening and is exploring opportunities to partner and replicate this model to improve the integration of high-quality early childhood education, health, and family well-being in additional communities across the country.
