School of Rock Expands Its Stage: New Lemont, Illinois Location
May 20, 2024, LEMONT, Ill. – School of Rock announced the grand opening of its new school in Lemont, Illinois. A celebratory event took place at the new school located at 1256 State St. from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 19. Festivities began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Village of Lemont officials followed by live performances, an open mic, tours, trial lessons of the offered music programs and more.
School of Rock Lemont owners, Zvi and Diana Kremer discovered School of Rock as parents when they enrolled their children in the Oak Park location. Their son Ben excelled in the program, earning selection as a School of Rock AllStar for multiple years, a prestigious annual program that chooses top students worldwide through auditions. Witnessing how the program benefited their children’s skills and overall confidence, the Kremers quickly became passionate advocates for the brand. Now, along with their son Ben who will serve as an instructor and Music Director, they’ll proudly translate that passion into opening their own location.
“As long-time School of Rock parents, we know the power the program has to develop kids and adults into lifelong musicians,” said Zvi Kremer. “School of Rock helps students understand their power and become fearless performers both on stage and in life. We’ve expanded our capabilities by integrating our family business, Picture-Minded Recording Studios, into our School of Rock location to offer writing, recording, mixing, editing, and more to the students’ music education experience. Opening School of Rock Lemont has been years in the making and is something I cannot wait for this community we love so much to benefit from.”
School of Rock provides students of all ages with an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and keyboard/piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.
“We are thrilled to see the School of Rock family expand with dedicated parents and alumni who are passionate about our program and committed to making a difference in their communities,” said Stacey Ryan, COO of School of Rock. “The Kremers and the School of Rock Lemont team are well-equipped to guide students on their musical journeys, fostering a culture of creativity and community. With the support of School of Rock’s system, we are confident they will empower students to unlock their musical potential and inspire future generations of artists.”
