Smalls Sliders® Debuts in Ohio with First Can in South Point

South Point is about to be painted Smorange™ as Smalls Sliders announces plans to bring its first-ever Ohio Can to the community.

May 13, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // South Point, OH — The fast-growing, QSR industry-disrupting cheeseburger slider brand, which serves cheeseburger sliders, seasoned waffle fries, and milkshakes out of a 750-square-foot Smorange™-colored shipping container known as a “Can,” has signed a multi-unit development agreement to bring over five Cans to the region.

The development is led by brothers Beckett and Sam Gue, experienced operators with backgrounds across the automotive, fast casual, and quick service restaurant industries. The group currently owns several Guthrie’s Chicken locations in the local area.

Sammy Gue spent the majority of his career in education, serving in roles ranging from teacher and principal to most recently District Superintendent at South Point Local School District. He now oversees day-to-day operations as the Operating Partner for Guthrie’s Chicken and the group’s upcoming Smalls Sliders locations. Beckett Gue brings extensive entrepreneurial and franchise experience, including previous ownership of GoFan, a digital ticketing solution for high school athletics, as well as multi-unit ownership with Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers and Guthrie’s Chicken. He now joins the growing Smalls Sliders system as a multi-unit franchise owner.
