The Big Biscuit® Continues With a Location Opening in Oklahoma City Later This Fall
May 21, 2024, PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS – The Big Biscuit® announced today that its seventh Oklahoma location will open in Oklahoma City later this fall. Known for elevating the guest experience by serving classic breakfast favorites in generous portions with genuine hometown hospitality, The Big Biscuit is locally owned and operated in Oklahoma by experienced franchisee Steve Zahn.
The newest Big Biscuit will be at 6406 N. May Ave. in Country Club Corner. The Oklahoma City restaurant will join six other Oklahoma locations.
Headquartered in Prairie Village, Kan., a suburb of Kansas City, The Big Biscuit carefully chooses franchisees like Zahn who have a passion for quality food, authentic hometown hospitality, a family-friendly environment, and a positive culture.
“We are honored to work with a franchisee like Steve, who shares our enthusiasm for the brand with his community,” said The Big Biscuit President and second-generation restaurateur Chad Offerdahl. “We are thrilled to be opening The Big Biscuit’s seventh Oklahoma location, a reflection of the dedication of Steve and his team and the love guests have for our breakfast and lunch dining experience.”
The Menu
The Big Biscuit’s menu features oversized buttermilk biscuits with gravy, omelets, and griddled classics like pancakes, French toast, and egg Benedicts. The Big Scram-Bowl is a modern interpretation of a traditional omelet with eggs, ham, mushrooms, and cheddar. The Alamo is an overstuffed breakfast burrito featuring eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, jalapeño peppers, and a chipotle cream sauce smothered with jack and cheddar cheese and salsa. The Bonut, a buttermilk biscuit dipped in French toast batter, fried to perfection, and tossed in powdered sugar, is a crowd-pleasing alternative to the donut, available with add-on specialty toppings.
A guest favorite is Jim’s Platter, a classic breakfast featuring two hand-cracked eggs, a buttermilk biscuit with sausage gravy, and potatoes. Lunch items like half-pound fresh beef burgers, 24-hour brined and hand-breaded fried chicken, and salads are also popular with diners.
“Our goal is not to complicate things – we do what we do best, and everyone finds something they love at The Big Biscuit,” Offerdahl said.
The Big Biscuit offers “Bigger Better Breakfast” catering bundles, complimentary private meeting rooms in select locations, and a merchandise collection with clever slogans, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, glassware, totes, hats, and coffee mugs.
