The Flying Biscuit Café Signs Lease in Raleigh, North Carolina
August 31, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // RALEIGH, N.C. — The Flying Biscuit Café has signed a lease for a new café at 6609 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615, bringing the Atlanta-born breakfast and lunch brand to North Raleigh. The café will be owned and operated by franchise partner Tahir Rafiq, who currently operates three Flying Biscuit cafés across the Triangle — in Chapel Hill, Cary and Wake Forest. North Raleigh will be his fourth. The café is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027.
Rafiq chose the site for its steady traffic and the gap he saw in the neighborhood — a busy stretch of Falls of Neuse Road with plenty of people moving through it and few places to sit down to breakfast. The surrounding area is dense with schools and established neighborhoods, and the café is being planned around that daytime crowd: families before school, neighbors meeting mid-morning, and the lunch rush.
“I just felt like this part of town was missing a great breakfast option, and a lot of people pass through here every day,” said Tahir Rafiq, franchise partner, The Flying Biscuit Café. “We’re looking forward to serving this community — the schools, the neighborhoods, the families who live right here.”
Vijay Shah and Shelley Bhattia of TradeMark Properties represented Rafiq in the transaction. Cori Nix of CBRE also worked on the deal.
Hiring and opening details for the North Raleigh café will be announced closer to opening. For menus, locations and hours, visit flyingbiscuit.com. Prospective franchise partners can learn about available territories at flyingbiscuitfranchising.com.
