January 02, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // The Human Bean in Avondale, Arizona is now brewing under new ownership. Jeff and Kelly Walters of Phoenix, Arizona will take over ownership of The Human Bean of Avondale, located at 1547 N Dysart Rd, Avondale, AZ effective January 1, 2026.
This marks the Walters’ second The Human Bean location. They also own and operate the 20055 N 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ location, and are excited to build on the strong foundation established at the Avondale location. They are committed to continuing to provide above-par products and exceptional customer service — all with a signature chocolate-covered espresso bean on top.
“We have amazing franchise partners, and almost without exception each one of them is growing in their communities, adding locations, and doing great things for their neighbors,” says Dan Hawkins, CEO of The Human Bean franchise.
Hawkins attributes the company’s growth to a community-minded mentality and treating everyone “like a kind human bean.” With quarterly charity donations and many smaller local initiatives, the company strives to make staff, partners, vendors, and customers feel valued.

All of The Human Bean drive-thrus participate annually, collectively raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer prevention and treatment.
