The Human Bean of Effingham, IL Now Under New Ownership

May 08, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // Sloan Kessinger and Tiffany Stewart became owners of The Human Bean at 406 N Keller Dr. on March 1, 2026. This change in ownership follows the previous operations, and the new owners intend to continue offering The Human Bean’s beverages and a customer experience associated with the brand.

To mark the transition, a weeklong opening event was planned to engage the community and provide opportunities to try The Human Bean’s offerings. The events began with a ribbon cutting on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 10 a.m., initiating several days of activities.

The plan for that week included various activities around the store. The schedule ran from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the event days and featured a range of activities for visitors.

Saturday, May 16 featured a community celebration with activities for families and additional drive-thru components during the operating hours.

“We have amazing franchise partners, and almost without exception each one of them is growing in their communities, adding locations, and doing great things for their neighbors,” says Dan Hawkins, CEO of The Human Bean franchise.

Hawkins attributes the company’s continued growth to its commitment to community and its mission of treating everyone “like a kind human bean.” The brand engages in quarterly charitable giving and local initiatives intended to foster connections with staff, customers, and communities alike.
