Toastique Expands Further Into California With Los Angeles Opening This Summer
July 25, 2024, LOS ANGELES, CA – Toastique has announced further expansion in California with its first Los Angeles location to open Summer 2024. Located at 6255 Sunset Blvd in the Sunset Media Center, a hub for media and entertainment with historical and cultural significance, Toastique is just steps away from renowned landmarks such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the iconic Capitol Records Building, and the Hollywood Palladium. Toastique will offer gourmet toast creations, smoothie bowls, nutrient-rich cold-pressed juices, espresso, coffee, and grab-and-go options.
Helmed by first-time Toastique franchisee, Charles Steynberg, the Los Angeles location will feature indoor seating set against a Los Angeles inspired mural designed and painted by artist Mary Lai, and outdoor patio seating. A South African native, Steynberg originally studied electrical engineering but quickly discovered his passion for the hospitality industry. He gained extensive experience working at country clubs in Florida and New York, co-owning a club in South Africa, and managing the number one store for a fast casual dining restaurant in South Africa. Since moving to LA in 2019, Steynberg has been on the hunt for a restaurant concept that aligned with his values of long-term sustainability and a clean healthy menu, which led him to Toastique.
“The restaurant industry took a huge hit after COVID, so I decided to pivot and look into franchise opportunities. Toastique kept popping up and, after researching its ethos and growth, I quickly fell in love with how fresh and healthy it is, and how the cuisine stands apart from so many brands built on fried foods, oil, and grease,” said Charles Steynberg, franchisee and owner of Toastique LA. “I stand behind the quality of the food and see longevity in the brand, especially in the Los Angeles market. We couldn’t have found a more prime location and I’m confident that we will soon become a hotspot for the neighborhood locals.”
Highlights of the menu include the PB Crunch Toast (honey roasted peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, berry jam, granola, peanuts, honey drizzle, and mint on walnut raisin toast), the Tuscan Tuna Toast (tuna dressed with sundried tomatoes, capers, scallions, herb vinaigrette, balsamic glaze, kalamata olives, tomato, bibb lettuce, lemon twist on rustico toast) and the Smoked Salmon Toast (smoked pastrami salmon, herbed cream cheese spread, arugula, cucumber, pickled onion, capers, toasty seasoning, microgreens, lemon twist on sourdough toast). Guests can also enjoy freshly blended smoothies, such as the Iced Brew (coffee, banana, dates, almond milk) and iced collagen lattes including the Turmeric Latte (vital proteins collagen, turmeric chai spice, ginger, maple syrup, almond milk).
