Überrito Set to Bring at Least 10 New Units to Greater Houston
May 20, 2024, HOUSTON – Überrito Fresh Mex announced today the signing of its largest Area Representative deal to date in Houston, TX, for 10 new restaurants. Leading Überrito’s growth across Houston is Fort Bend Restaurant Group (FBRG).
“We are thrilled to welcome Fort Bend Restaurant Group to our Überrito franchise family,” said Greg Snodgrass, President and Chief Operating Officer of Überrito and MRI Heritage Brands, Inc. “FBRG’s leadership has more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries.”
Oniel Kurup and Ghulam Memon are leading FBRG’s development of Überrito. FBRG will not only own and operate new Überrito restaurants in Houston.
Überrito’s story began nearly a decade ago and goes above and beyond the burrito to a land of fresh ingredients and unexpected flavor combinations. Over the years, the brand has grown, introducing new products while refining its scratch-cooking. These tastes include fresh, house- made salsas and chips, special marinades for meats, three flavors of rice (including cauliflower rice), three different types of beans, 15+ toppings, and eight different house-made salsas. While Tex-Mex is at its core, Überrito has something to satisfy every appetite. From Cuban to Cajun, Mexican to American, Überrito has something for you, whether a meat lover or a vegan.
“We are excited that FBRG has decided to take this next step with us,” added Snodgrass. “They are going to be incredible owners and partners, and after several conversations and meetings with our team, it was clear that this would be a perfect fit.”
Überrito offers lunch and dinner, and some locations serve breakfast as well. Most locations have outdoor patios and feature domestic and premium beers and margaritas, which makes them great places to sip drinks, grab a bite, and meet up with friends.
