The Flying Biscuit Café Signs Franchise Agreement to Bring All-Day Breakfast to McDonough, Georgia

September 02, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // The Flying Biscuit Café has signed a franchise agreement with franchisee Keisha Carter to bring the Atlanta-born all-day breakfast and brunch brand to McDonough, Ga., and the surrounding Henry County market. The site and opening date will be announced separately.

Henry County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia. Its population rose from 203,922 residents in 2010 to 240,712 in the 2020 census, and the U.S. Census Bureau estimated it at 264,922 in 2025. McDonough, the county seat and its largest city, sits along Interstate 75 about 30 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta. Carter, who lives in the market, said growth there has outpaced the area’s sit-down breakfast and brunch options — the gap that drew her to it.

Carter brings nearly 10 years of experience in sales, business development, operations, client relations and team leadership, including roles at several Fortune 500 companies before moving into entrepreneurship. She holds an MBA in finance management and is a Six Sigma Black Belt, and currently leads a metro Atlanta real estate group where she oversees business operations, marketing, sales strategy, team development and client experience. She and her family have been Flying Biscuit regulars for years.

Carter will partner with Eric Gladmon, who will serve as the venture’s main operating partner. Gladmon owns and operates an Atlanta salon that has been in business for more than 30 years, and brings that ownership and operations experience to the group.

“Flying Biscuit has been an Atlanta staple and a longtime favorite for us as Georgia natives with deep roots in the area, so choosing a brand we already knew and loved felt natural,” said Keisha Carter, franchisee of the McDonough Flying Biscuit Café. “What makes this journey especially meaningful is that we get to do it as a family. After losing my mom in 2022, there’s something incredibly special about building this next chapter alongside my husband and my cousin, who shared such a close relationship with her. We’re excited to welcome the McDonough community into what we hope will feel like an extension of our own family.”

The agreement covers one café, in McDonough. Carter has said she hopes to develop additional Flying Biscuit cafés in Georgia communities over time. She has also identified catering as a focus, pointing to Henry County’s school system, Piedmont Henry Hospital, local colleges, corporate offices, distribution centers and community organizations as potential customers.

“Atlanta is where this brand started, and we’re still filling in pieces of the metro — Henry County is one of them,” said Andrew Scherzer, partner and director of franchise development for Flying Biscuit Franchising. “Keisha spent years wishing there were a Flying Biscuit closer to home, and now she’s the one bringing it. Operators who come to us as guests first tend to get the details right.”

The McDonough café will serve The Flying Biscuit Café’s full breakfast and lunch menu, including its biscuits, shrimp and grits, omelets, vegan scrambles, burgers and wraps, along with full-service catering. The location, opening date and hiring details will be announced separately.
