Woofie’s Adds New Oregon Location to Growing Pet Care Franchise
September 07, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // Portland, OR – Woofie’s of SE Portland-Clackamas will celebrate its growing presence in the SE Portland and Clackamas County areas, with a Woofie’s welcome party at Oregon Dog Rescue’s Fur Baby Love Fest, Meldrum Bar Park, September 13, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Based in Oregon City, Oregon, Woofie’s of SE Portland-Clackamas serves Happy Valley, Oregon City, Milwaukie, Gladstone, and Clackamas.
Woofie’s of SE Portland-Clackamas is owned and operated by Mark and Heidi Caniparoli, a husband-and-wife team who have been married 38 years and longtime residents of the Portland, Oregon area. Mark draws on a ~40-year career in IT, including most recently at UPS, while Heidi, brings 30+ years of experience in accounting for small businesses. They are joined by daughter, Elaina, as office manager, and their team of Fear Free® certified (in reducing fear, anxiety, and stress for pets) and pet CPR and first aid trained pet sitters, dog walkers, and groomers.
The Caniparolis were inspired to open their Woofie’s franchise after using a mobile groomer for their highly sensitive now-12-year-old Maltipoo rescue, Oliver, and Schnauzer at the time, Beau. They realized what a game-changer mobile grooming was for their pets and how beneficial it could be for others. The family had also used pet-sitting and dog-walking services in the past. When they discovered Woofie’s, they were drawn to a business that could offer all three services from one place.
Operations for Woofie’s of SE Portland-Clackamas began six months ago and has been growing rapidly since. The company prioritizes partnerships supporting both local communities and organizations including The Street Dog Coalition, The Springs Living, Happy Valley Parks and Recreation, the Oregon Humane Society and Oregon Dog Rescue.
“We want our neighbors to know they can count on us. At the heart of Woofie’s, we are pet lovers too, and we are committed to being a trusted part of the community we call home,” says Heidi Caniparoli. “Partnering with organizations that make a meaningful impact in our community is an important part of our mission of providing well-rounded care for pets and the people who love them.”
“First and foremost, we’re a community business, and that means being able to make decisions that best serve our local Woofie’s clients. At the same time, we have the confidence of knowing we’re backed by an experienced national team,” says Mark Caniparoli.
As part of the Woofie’s welcome party at Fur Baby Love Fest, Woofie’s will offer $10 off a first service booked at the event, raffle opportunities including the chance to win a free groom; giveaways for dogs, and games and prizes for kids (while time and supplies last).
