The Flying Biscuit Café Signs Franchise Agreement in Kingsport, Tennessee

August 26, 2026 // FranchisePR.com // The Flying Biscuit Café has signed a franchise agreement with Larry and Courtney Bell, who will bring the Atlanta-born breakfast and brunch brand to Kingsport, Tenn. The agreement covers one café, and site selection is underway. The address and opening date will be announced once a lease is signed.

The Bells are a father-and-daughter team, and both will be franchise owners. Larry Bell brings 37 years of business ownership experience to the partnership, having built and run several companies before turning to restaurants. He will operate the café alongside his daughter, Courtney Bell.

Neither had heard of Flying Biscuit before visiting. The concept emphasizes a full breakfast and lunch service that closes in the afternoon, supported by an operating model and a corporate team with an established playbook.

Kingsport is the largest city in the Kingsport–Bristol metropolitan area and part of the wider Tri-Cities region of Northeast Tennessee, home to Eastman Chemical Company and a downtown that has drawn steady new investment. The Bells see room for another all-day breakfast and brunch option in a market where weekend mornings already draw a crowd. The café will be the brand’s first in the Tri-Cities and its second in Tennessee, following Knoxville.

“We didn’t know Flying Biscuit before we walked into one. Then we ate, looked around the room, and started asking how to get one to the Tri-Cities,” said Larry Bell, franchise owner. “This is an area that already loves a good brunch, and we’re looking forward to giving people somewhere with a little character to spend their morning.”

When the café opens, guests can expect the menu Flying Biscuit is known for — all-day breakfast, the award-winning shrimp and creamy dreamy grits, stuffed French toast, omelets, vegan scrambles, burgers, and wraps — served from morning through the lunch hour.

Beyond this first café, the Bells hope to open more Flying Biscuit locations in the region over time.
